Ahmedabad: Australia allrounder Ashleigh Gardner has been named Gujarat Giants captain for WPL 2025, ending fellow national team-mate Beth Mooney’s two-year reign at the helm.

Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has been named the new captain of Gujarat Giants for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season. Gardner, a prominent figure in Australian cricket, takes over the leadership role from her teammate Beth Mooney.
Gardner has been a crucial part of Gujarat Giants since the league’s inception, contributing significantly over the last two seasons. She has scored 324 runs and taken 17 wickets, showcasing her all-round abilities.
