Player Of the Match

  • Player of the Match: Tom Rogers (Melbourne Renegades)
  • Performance: Rogers took 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, contributing to his team’s 2-wicket victory.

Player of the Match Tom Rogers: “Thank you. I thought, um, Cooper Connolly deserved it from the losing side of the night, played a hell of a knock scoring 60 or 70 out there, so, um, it was a tight little game in the end. Yeah, yeah, very much. So the last two games have been slightly bowling in the right areas. (Pitch) Yeah, I think that the outfield has remained quite similar for the last few years. It gets a pretty top-class facility in that. It’s hosting phenomenal events throughout the year and the grounds staff are doing a pretty good job to get it up and running, it might not look amazing for the first game or two. And then the wicket was well on 140 runs. Um, both teams did pretty good. Yeah. I think there was, um, you know, a little bit of excitement leading in, um, with the list we got. We’re on a nice squad put together. Um, But you know, it’s it means nothing. If you’re not getting out there and getting the win. Unfortunately, after I um, you know, a disappointing performance in the first game, I think, um, you know, particularly the bowlers wanted to come back and improve from that and help the team out. And fortunately, we’re heading into Christmas feeling slightly better than after the first game.”
