Established in the year 1972, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park at Visakhapatnam is one of the naturalistic zoos in the country. Open to public on 19.05.1977, this modern zoo is known for its spacious enclosures and green surroundings. Popularly known as Vizag Zoo, it is also the third largest zoo in the country in terms of area.
